![]() Pardon my rant just got off work and I've been thinking about it. I want Immersion in a world where what I do matters. I want games that help me feel like that, just a little bit. I'm a good guy, I'm ready for the challenge, but it didn't work out that way. You know, TV growing up convinced me I was going to be the Hero of Space and Time. It would be significantly cooler if I could set my course and wander back to use the Fabricator, or arrange my materials, or fiddle with the musicplayer. There's nothing to do but pilot, and now it's slower, and I'm using that boost mod all the time. You still use the mouse to adjust your course, rather than look around inside the cockpit. It's SLOWER, but it's still hold-down-key-to-go. If they don't want to include even more in BZ even after release, they should definitely do another game in the future. It still controls like the Seamoth when you've got the additions on. Below zero was formed largely out of cut content from the first game and there's still SO much left to include, not to mention all of the newly created ones that never made it in. But, like, it doesn't feel right, and I'll tell you why: Cool idea, I love that it separates and the front section is faster without the additions. I loved setting a course, keeping an eye on what was happening, but maybe stepping away for a moment. I know, right? I loved a LOT of things about Subnautica, playing it again by the way, but the Cyclops was By Far my favorite. Probably very unlikely but use Alien Containment to help deal with hostiles and/or inconveniences. As for the paint job most creatures ignore your vehicles or can’t damage them enough anyway and for those that don’t we have the defense system or wanton violence to solve so why not go or at least offer peaceful camouflage. Note you need not be able to craft the suit until end game or post game it’s more to let you know you’ve completed the area. Upon scanning everything you can find in an environment, you unlock the ability to craft a suit that makes you invisible to hostiles in that biome, and a paint job for your vehicles that does the same. Since we’re not going to get conventional weapons give me some chemistry, give us an experimental game mechanic where you can combine samples of local flora and fauna that can have various effects both beneficial and not and you won’t know which until you use it. Maybe your initial oxygen tank is so garbage because it’s leaky and as you progress instead of four different tank types with three fragments you just have the one with nine fragments but each fragments lets you tweak it. And you’re left really utilizing alien materials to create patchwork zombie equipment until you fix it or find another. ![]() I think it would be really cool if after you build your scanner the fabricator fritzes out and explodes. ![]() I want to go back to a more self driven survival oriented experience.Īnother thing I think would be cool to see is less of a clean advanced technology.
